A 64-45 win over the Waikato-Bay Of Plenty Magic in New Zealand has propelled the Swifts, which includes Nowra’s Kaitlyn Bryce, into their second successive ANZ Championship grand final against the Firebirds.
While Wright would not go as far as saying the last few weeks had been perfect preparation for a crack at breaking an eight-year title drought, he believes the resilience his players showed after their 11-goal loss the previous week against the Firebirds was to be commended.
"It's pleasing to show how well we can bounce back," said Wright.
"We've had to battle two elimination matches to get to this match. That is good to be able to play under that pressure and win those two games to get to this game.”
