Timothy John Wilson appeared in Nowra Local Court on Monday charged with a high range offence.
Court documents stated Wilson was seen driving a vehicle on Elizabeth Drive, Vincentia at 10.15am on May 21 this year.
He drove the vehicle into the Vincentia Shopping Centre and collided with the rear of another parked car.
Police said Wilson had glazed eyes, was unsteady on his feet and had a strong smell of alcohol.
He told police he had drunk a bottle of vodka the night before.
A breath test returned a reading of 0.277.
That breached an 18-month good behaviour bond Wilson had previously been placed on in August 2014 for another high range drink driving offence in May 2014 after being caught driving on the Princes Highway at South Nowra, returning a reading of 0.184
He was also fined $2500 and disqualified from driving for 18 months.
Magistrate Gabriel Fleming said there was no alternative to jail, sentencing him to 12 months, with a non parole period of three months and renewed the 18-month good behaviour bond for the first offence.
She also ordered an interlock device be fitted to his car for 12 months.
