A celebratory morning tea will be held on Friday, September 9 in their centre at 39 Berry Street from 10.30am.
All past and current members are invited to attend. For catering purposes phone the centre on 4423 0134.
Over the past 55 years the centre has been involved in a number of projects. They operate a small cafe style kitchen offering various items from raisin toast and sandwiches to devonshire team, open from Monday to Thursday 9am to 1.30am.
The group is always to expand their volunteer list to help in the centre. Various positions are available. If you think you may be able to offer a little of your valuable time, call in and meet the friendly team.
The centre is central, offers a quiet and welcoming area to sit, watch TV or movies, whilst waiting for any appointments. Many of the local community transport companies make the centre a meeting venue, as it’s central to all medical centres in the town centre.
Senior Citizens is not only available to seniors but to all Shoalhaven residents, young and not so young. Everyone is most welcome.
The group also offers day trips to various places, usually monthly and will be hosting a movie morning on Fridays.
