In WIN’s hometown for the first time, MasterChef’s George Calombaris said the partnership would have little effect on the way he performed his job on the hit cooking show, but said he was “excited” about being broadcast to a different regional audience.
“Change is always difficult, but with a little bit of time, they’ll fall in love with what we do at Ten,” he said.
“I think what we do at Ten is exceptional TV, I say that with my hand on my heart after being part of this network for ten years now.”
“I think we’ve got incredible content and, seeing all these shows up on [the WIN studio’s] walls here, there is a sense of pride.”
The MasterChef star was joined at the launch by a host of Ten personalities, including Jessica Rowe, Sandra Sully, Joe Hildebrand, Sarah Harris, sports hosts Matt White and Matt Burke, and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.
