His two latest offerings have been delivered to the Lyrebird Preschool and to Vincentia High.
Mr Aulsebrook, in the past, carved and donated brilliant ornate benches to several community based groups like Bomaderry Public School, Nowra Hill Public School and the Nowra Family Support Service.
It was from his previous donations that Lyrebird Preschool and Vincentia High both sought donations from the Bomaderry based woodcarver.
Lyrebird Preschool now has several seats and a massive radiata pine bench which the children love.
Vincentia High’s mascot is the eagle and majestic carved eagle now is located at the school.
Mr Aulsebrook loves to see the children enjoy his donations and according to Lyrebird Preschool staff member Belinda Hibbert the preschool children think their bench is pretty special.
“They love sitting on the bench out here in the morning,” she said.
“We are so grateful to Bob and his support has been wonderful.”
The bench at the preschool comes with a couple of extras.
Two kookaburras sit on either end of the bench and one of the preschoolers got to name them.
The kookaburras are now named Kaitlyn and Nicholas.
Mrs Hibbert said the children love touching and feeling the bench.
“Touching the bench is a nice sensory thing for them,” she said.
Mr Aulsebrook suggested a reason why the kids like to feel of the bench.
“This was the first bench I made with a gloss finish,” he said.
“I also had to scale the bench down so the kids could sit in it.”
Mr Aulsebrook was given a handmade card and got to shake hands with all the preschoolers.
