The group set up in Junction Court and encouraged the public to come along, join in and learn a new skill.
“Our motto was, ‘we can't fly but we can knit in public,’ group member Kerry Rourke said.
The group was also joined by Karen Atkins and Jane Newton who came down from Shellharbour despite the rain to join in for a couple of hours.
