Roos’ captain/coach Andrew Timbs said he was happy his team was able to come home with all three points.
“We scored two early goals through Aaron Crittenden and went in to the break up two,” he said.
“And then Basin pulled a goal back in the second half through a penalty, which was a clumsy challenge made by us.
“But we sealed the match with a late goal to Evan Leedham.
“To be honest, it was one of the fastest paced games we have played in for a long time and I’m surprised that Basin hasn’t had stronger results this year, because they are a strong outfit.
“We played well for big patches, which was great, controlling the ball and pace well.
“And to not concede a goal in open play, is a real positive and credit to our defence.”
