Concert organisers Tim Burke and Fiona Brown from Slightly Twisted Productions were stoked to see their 14th show at the cinema attract more than 180 blues fans from as far away as Sydney and Melbourne.
Tim also used the concert to announce his new partnership with the Narooma Golf Club that will allow for even bigger shows, the first of which will be The Backsliders on the October long weekend and coinciding with the Narooma Oyster Festival.
There was also an opportunity to introduce a Narooma theatre group and put on stage productions at the golf club, while Tim was also planning to do live broadcasts of his music shows on 2EAR community radio.
Slightly Twisted Productions still plans to do smaller, more intimate gigs including speaking engagements at the Kinema.
“We’re not giving up on the Kinema, we just wanted to have more room and as a cinema it is not always available, especially at busy times of the year,” he said.
The Kinema blues show on Saturday night was part of the Eurobodalla River of Art festival that concluded with more music, this time by The Somedays at Club Narooma.
Phil Wiggins all the way from Washington DC enjoyed his time in Narooma again checking out the natural beauty of the beach and the inlet.
The Kinema gig was the last in the current Wiggins and Turner tour of Australia, including the Blues on Broadbeach festival.
Two photos by Mollymook photographer Julie Fox were given away as door prizes.
