“I’m disappointed with the result and expected more composure and fight from the boys on the day,” he said.
“We lacked any quality movement going forward.
“And we can’t score if we are not in control of the ball, and supplying quality service in attacking areas.
“A positive to take from the game is the better performance of control in the second half, which allowed us to play better football.”
The difference between the two teams was a Rob Barrett penalty.
“I thought Hayden Lavender, Conner Edenden and Callum Crapp were standouts for us while Sam Swan and Brett Ringland were Manyana’s best,” Banks said.
“I should also mention Ben Rawlinson who continues to improve each week.”
Heads will return home this weekend, where they will host a tough Shoalhaven United team.
“We are looking forward to this game with the club celebrating the clubs many sponsors with a sponsors day,” Banks said.
“There will be lots of free-bees for the kids and entertainment.
“In terms of on the field, I’m looking for a better performance from the boys, which will hopefully be the icing the cake on what should be a great day on and off the field.”
Elsewhere, ladder leaders Gerringong remained unbeaten on the season, defeating Bomaderry 4-1.
Brad Boardman continued his goal scoring feats this seaosn, with a hat-trick, while Gary Vian added a fourth for Craig Farquhar’s men.
“We started strongly and in the 13th minute, we had our first goal through Gary,” Farquhar said.
“Before the end of the half, Brad had two goals, meaning we went up 3-nil into the break.
“But to Bomaderry’s credit, they fought back and it was 1-all in the second half.
“I don’t think the score line truly represents the closeness of the game, as Bomaderry are an improving side, that made us earn the three points.”
Apart from front duo, Boardman and Vian, Farquhar credited centre-back duo Alex Bayer and Robbie Franks to having blinders.
The final match of the weekend was won by Milton, who defeated Shoalhaven United 2-1 at Lyrebird Park.
“United started the match better the dominated the early exchanges,” Milton coach Greg Best said.
“But we gradually worked our way in to the game but were down 1-nil at the break.
“In the second, we picked it up and Dane Garnon scored two goals, to secure a crucial three points for us.”
Culburra and Huskisson had the bye in round nine.
