A child has been hospitalised after being bitten by a dog at East Nowra on Sunday afternoon.

Police were contacted by hospital staff after a boy was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital suffering from a dog bites to his chest, back, head and legs.
The boy is in a serious but stable condition.
Police were told the boy was in the front yard of a home on Quickmatch Street when he was attacked.
The dog has been secured by rangers.
