The wire tied to a sign across the fence dividing Jervis Bay road was spotted by Kristen Lack’s partner at around 11.40pm last night, Tuesday, May 24.
”To save it happening to anyone else's car and possibly doing damage or even someone on a motorcycle that could of ended in murder, my partner took both strings of wire down,” she said.
“There was wire on both sides of the road. As my partner took it down there were kids hiding in the paddock across the road or in the bushes next to us laughing.
“We took the wire to Nowra Police Station to see if there was something they could do or if they wanted it for evidence, but they didn't need it.”
Kristen said the wire appeared to have been placed by teenagers.
“I am furious that kids who sounded like they were 15-16 years old would find it funny to try and purposely cause damage to people’s vehicles,” she said.
”I would appreciate it if you would run a story on it because I want to the kids to realise that there is consequences to their actions and that they could of caused some serious damage.”
