The event was organised by Amanda Gates after her husband Steven was killed in a motorcycle accident last year.
The ride left Nowra and ended in Gerringong with all funds raised going towards the Motorcycle Council of NSW (MCC) to create awareness of motorcycle safety.
Leading the group on their ride, Ms Gates said she was overwhelmed by the support shown by the motorcycle community.
“It was just amazing and we ended up having more than 90 riders join in, they just kept on coming,” she said.
“They came from everywhere, including Sydney and people who didn’t even know Steve came to support the cause.”
Almost $5600 was raised for the MCC of NSW, with everyone enjoying a barbeque, raffles and entertainment at Cooke Park in Gerringong.
“Steve would have been so proud.

“Everyone said they had a wonderful day,” Ms Gates said.
“Steve would have been so proud.”
Chairman of the MCC of NSW, Christopher Burns joined in on the ride and said it will go a long way to creating motorcycle awareness.
“There was plenty of support from riders who are aware of the need for raising awareness in general and for the Illawarra region,” he said.
“Every driver who saw the lines of bikes with have motorcycle safety in their mind for the future.”
Mr Burns said all funds raised will go towards helping the MCC of NSW, a volunteer organisation, fund motorcycle awareness campaigns and assisting the work they carry out with the Government.
“Every penny gets spent wisely on education and awareness programs,” he said.
“There’s plenty of research out there that shows drivers with a family member who ride are more aware of motorcycle riders on the road.
“My personal thanks goes to Amanda and her family who put in such a mighty effort for such a great day.”
