Residents were alarmed to see the discarded rubble claiming the left hand does not know what the right hand is doing at Shoalhaven City Council.
Shoalhaven City Council’s Section Manager for Project Delivery and Contracts Peter Knill said the ramps were built incorrectly.
“The kerb ramps installed by the contractor did not meet contractual specifications to satisfy disability access requirements, and were replaced at the contractor’s expense,” he said.
Mr Knill confirmed the construction of a roundabout at the same site was imminent.
“The roundabout construction is in progress in conjunction with the kerb ramps,” he said.
