Firefighters have contained a bushfire burning next to the Barton Highway near the ACT border.

The 2500-square-metre fire broke out shortly after 2pm on Tuesday at Hall, near the Victoria Street intersection with the Barton Highway.
Firefighters began work to contain the fire about 2.30pm, an ACT Emergency Services spokesman said, and by 3.15pm it was contained.
The fire posed no immediate danger, but nearby residents were warned to be vigilant.
Crews remained on scene blacking out to ensure there were no flare-ups, as of 3.15pm.
