Ms Bond, 25, was a teacher at John Therry Catholic High School in the south-western Sydney suburb of Rosemeadow, when she died in an accident on Appin Road.
Ms Bond's Holden Cruz collided with a refrigerated truck about two kilometres south of Copperfield Road at about 5.30pm on March 21.
Her death sparked a community call for action to improve this section of Appin Road.
Studies of the 37-kilometre stretch of road found the section from Bulli Tops to the Appin township featured four “crash clusters” where a number of crashes and fatalities had occurrred.
There are no crash clusters on the stretch from Appin to Rosemeadow.
However, Roads and Maritime Services is undertaking work to improve that section.
This includes resurfacing work between Appin and Rosemeadow, which began on Monday.
“The first stage of work will be carried out from the Kellerman Drive roundabout to 1.6 kilometres south at Rosemeadow and is expected to be completed by June,” an RMS spokesman said.
“The work includes heavy patching, asphalting and line marking which will be carried out at night to ensure there is minimal disruption to motorists.”
Work on the first stage will take place until May 24 between 8pm and 5am.
