The Mariners have assembled a rep squad consisting of both youth and experience for the five-game tournament. It includes Brandon Berg, Steve Berg, Jordan Butfield, Mark Donne, Tim Dutton, Ben Elliott, Matt Guyatt, Lee Lawson, Simon Levy, Murray Lugg, Brenton McMahon, Kai Meuronen, Blake Mitchell, Jay Spindler and Aaron Taylor
The Mariners are hoping to follow on from their good form at the 2015 championships which saw them finish in third place. They will be facing “B” Grade teams from Illawarra, Coffs Harbour, Central Coast and Newcastle, with the top two teams playing in the final game.
Murray Lugg and Aaron Taylor were member of the Illawarra Big League squad for the 2015 NSW Country Junior Baseball Championships, the highlight of Lugg’s tournament a home run.
