The workshop will be run by Patrick Reubinson, president of the Bemboka Secret Cheese society in Bega.
Local Kathy Harrington said the workshop aims to promote the new cheese making section to be held at the 2017 Kangaroo Valley Show.
“We live in a dairy area as and apart from the cattle judging, we’ve never had a dairy section,” she said.
“As far as I know there’s no shows between here and Bemboka that have a cheese section.”
The self-confessed cheese lover began making her own cheese two years ago and said she’s hooked.
“My son is getting married in November and we’re going to make a cheese wedding cake,” she said.
A wine and cheese appreciation night will also be held and while the upcoming workshop is already full, Ms Harrington said Mr Reubinson will return in September to run a second.
