Empower Me by Nikki Morris was launched last week, raising $100 in donations on the night and almost selling out.
Empower Me has been a year long journey for Nikki Morris and her six-year-old daughter Zali.
It stemmed from Ms Morris’s struggle with anorexia as a teenager and her lengthy recovery. But when her daughter started to display body image issues she knew something had to be done.
“If we target girls from a younger age and talk about these issues there might be some kind of positive change.”
The book is a compilation of positive words put together by the girls and their parents. Untouched photos show their personalities.
Books can be purchased at Inspired Hair Design or Bomaderry Community Preschool. They can also be ordered on the Facebook page- Empower Me.
