A man has been charged following an alleged assault in Nowra on Sunday evening.

About 6.30pm, a 69-year-old man was walking with a woman on Riverview Road at Nowra.
Police have been told a group of males yelled at the pair before one of them allegedly hit the 69-year-old, causing him to fall to the ground.
The offender fled the scene.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Shoalhaven District Hospital for treatment of facial injuries.
Nowra Police were notified and commenced an investigation.
Following inquiries, a 37-year-old man was arrested and taken to Nowra Police Station.
He was charged with reckless wounding and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The man was refused to bail to appear at Nowra Local Court Monday February 15.
