But she has found strength in her battles and is using her passion for photography and love of rural landscapes to send a brave message to young people.
Bella was in a dark place from which her mother feared she would never return.
The 20-year-old said her verbal dyspraxia condition made her an easy target for bullies, but has come out the other side a stronger person.
Not everyone is so lucky. For this reason Bella is now a face of Angels Hope, an Australian anti-bullying organisation, which aims to provide awareness and support networks.
With a keen eye for beauty and kindness through hardship and suffering, Bella’s collected images from around Australia and the Shoalhaven. Her most recent and memorable photo was of the Burrumbuttock Hay Runners.
Bella will now work on a fundraiser with Angel Hope and hopes to speak at local schools about bullying.
