The Show ‘n’ Shine hot rod extravaganza will help raise money for local sick, disadvantaged, and disabled children and marks the beginning of fundraising campaigns to run in conjunction with the annual rally in September.
Last year the Shoalhaven team raised over $54,000. The money was enough to purchase a specialised ambulance and this year the team hopes to beat last year’s efforts to buy more medical equipment.
It’s the first time Show ‘n’ Shine has been involved in the charity and Shoalhaven KidzFix Rally team member Ian Usher said he hoped it would generate a lot of local interest.
“We hope to raise $10,000 at the event,” he said.
“We’ve had a lot of community support so far and I’d like to thank everyone who has been involved, but we do need volunteers to help us out on the day.”
Some of the donations will go toward helping sick and injured Wildlife Rescue animals.
Mr Usher said there would be a wildlife display where attendees can get up close and personal with snakes and other interesting creatures.
There will also be a swap meet, SPL sound-off, rides, activities and more at the alcohol-free event.
Hot rod entries are available from Frankies Auto Electrics.
The KiszFix Rally event is on Sunday, February 21 at Nowra Speedway from 9am.
Tickets are $15 and $6 for children under 16-years-old.
