The usual Monday ride to Berry will be changed to a ride with the Kiama Bicycle User Group starting in Huskisson: 30 km / moderate pace / some traffic. The ride will start at the Huskisson Hotel carpark at 8.30am or, for a longer ride, from the Falls Creek Rural Fire station in Jervis Bay Road, 1.3km east of the Princes Highway, at 7.45am. The route will be along the Huskisson to Sanctuary Point shared cyclepath and on local roads through St Georges Basin and Tomerong back to Huskisson for lunch. Contact: Peter 4446 0119 or Judi 4421 5214.
Last Thursday six riders set off on the Midweek Mountain Bike Ride in cloudy conditions with rain threatening and made it to the end of Millbank Road before drizzle set in. The riders continued down Worrigee Road to join the bush track through Worrigee Nature Reserve to South Nowra. The rain started to ease so the riders continued along Hillcrest Avenue, and Flinders Road, then back into the bush behind Nowra Raceways. After many muddy puddles, slippery clay sections and a water crossing the group returned to Nowra for coffee and snacks at the Hub Cafe on Berry Street.
Last Sunday 12 cyclists had an easy paced ride from Huskisson to Greenfields Beach and return. It was an excellent morning for riding and enjoying the views over Jervis Bay.
