For six months Andrew and Michelle Steele and their three children have put up with someone regularly performing burnouts late at night on their front lawn, a graffiti attack on the ambulance while it was parked outside their home and last week their letterbox was blown up.
The couple have been left stunned and bewildered by an ongoing attacks.
Andrew is based at the Huskisson Ambulance Station, with the family having made Sanctuary Point their home for the past three years.
“We are quiet people and keep to ourselves and can’t understand why this is happening,” Michelle said.
“We can only put it down to the fact someone is targeting us because they possibly have an issue with the ambulance service.”
She said the attacks started about six months ago.
On at least 10 to 15 occasions, an unknown car, has come down their street, either late at night or in the early hours of the morning, skidded to a stop before performing a burnout on the nature strip in front of their house.
“It’s a regular occurrence and always on our front lawn,” she said “No one else’s.”
Last week the attack went further when their letter box was blown up.
“It was a shock. I heard a noise and thought it sounded like a gunshot,” she said.
“It wasn’t until the next morning we discovered the damage.
“That was really scary. I’m concerned for the safety of my three children.
“Where will this lead?
“Will they throw crackers at the house or placed them under our car?”
Mrs Steele said she hopes by speaking out someone may be able to shed some light on the attacks.
