‘Keeping Kids in Mind’ will launch in March for five weeks, running on March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 1am to 12.30pm.
The course is especially for separated parents who are experiencing ongoing conflict.
It’s designed to help parents see through their children’s eyes the experience of separation and develop better understanding about how to support children after family separation.
Topics covered will include; grief and loss after separation, the hidden world of children, rebuilding resilience, bridging the gap and looking back and moving forward.
All participants must register their interest in attending the course and participate in a pre-group interview prior to the date.
Free childcare will be offered for children aged six weeks to five years.

Beginning February 10, Nowra Family Support Services will be inviting grandparents, parents and caregivers with children under five to enjoy Wednesday mornings packed with activities.
Morning tea, painting, music, storytelling, playdough, waterplay and information for parents will all be available. The sessions will run from 10am to 12pm and bookings are essential.
Anyone looking for tips on renting is encouraged to attend Keys 2 Renting held on March 7, 14 and 21 from 10am to 2pm.

A series of short TAFE courses, ‘Get Ready-Community’ will begin on Thursday, February 18. It aims to develop communication skills and build confidence for people to take the next step towards educations and employment.
The centre’s popular Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY) will also be running again in 2016. The free two year, home-based early childhood learning and parenting program empowers parents and careers as their child’s first teacher.
All courses will be held at Nowra Family Support Service Cottage 1/80 Park Road, East Nowra.
