Worrigee’s Lachlan Thoroughgood has passed away this week after his brave fight against a malignant brain tumour.
The support from the community gushed on the Loving Lachlan Facebook page when his family shared the news on Thursday morning.
The emotional post, written by Lachlan’s parents, said he passed away peacefully and without pain in their arms.
“Lachlan’s short life created huge ripples throughout the world as he touched so many lives,” the post read.
“We hope his journey will not be in vain and through his legacy brain cancer and childhood cancer will become a thing of the past.
“Thank you all for Loving Lachlan.”
Lachlan’s journey touched the South Coast community, motivating fundraisers and awareness campaigns in the fight to beat brain and childhood cancer.
