About 100 vehicles were destroyed when a blaze tore through a car auction yard at Milperra in Sydney's south-west, firefighters say.

Emergency services were called to the Pickles Auctions car yard on Woorang Street about 6am on Wednesday to reports that a large fire had broken out.
Superintendent Tom Cooper, from Fire and Rescue NSW, said firefighters arrived to find about 20 cars alight, and thick black smoke visible from surrounding suburbs.
The fire quickly spread to other vehicles, which were stacked on top of each other in the car yard.
"The cars are in racks stacked three-high, and we don't know how they caught on fire," Superintendent Cooper said.
"Two rows of these cars have been totally destroyed by the fire."
Superintendent Cooper said about 80 firefighters extinguished the blaze by 8.30am.
He said the 100 destroyed vehicles had previously been damaged before arriving at the car yard to be auctioned.
"There are a few bits still smouldering, and at this stage we've got one aerial appliance at work," he said.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said no one was believed to have been injured.
Police were helping to manage traffic around the car yard.
Detectives and Fire and Rescue NSW investigators will attempt to determine the cause of the blaze on Wednesday.
The police spokeswoman said the fire was not believed to be suspicious.
