THE St George Illawarra Dragons have announced that former Culburra Dolphins star Adam Quinlan will return to the club for the 2016 season. The 23-year-old has agreed to terms on a one-year contract that will see him re-join the club he left in 2014, until at least the end of next season.

“Originally I thought I was heading back to England to play, and I was just waiting on a couple of things,”Quinlan said.
“But that fell through and I had to look elsewhere.
“Luckily for me, a chance to head back to the Dragons popped up, which I was more than happy to grab with both hands.”
Quinlan first met with coach Paul McGregor last week, when it became a real possibility that he would pull on the red V again.
“I met briefly with Mary and one of his assistants last week, which is when I thought that this could actually become a possibility,” he said.
“Thankfully it all worked out and I can now get stuck into training.
“Mary has given me some tips of things he wants me to improve on at training and said if I’m prepared to put in the hard yards during the pre-season and trials, who knows what could happen.
“I know the Dragons have already got a star-studded back line but hopefully I get a shot to prove myself.”
Quinlan is excited to return to the club where it all started for him, somewhere where he feels comfortable.
“I know the coaching staff and most of the playing group, which I know I’ll be able to learn plenty off,” he said.
“I know how well the club is run and how much I enjoyed my time there last time.
“It means a hell of a lot to be given another shot back where it all started.”
Quinlan, made his first-grade debut for the Dragons in round nine of the 2013 campaign against the Titans. He then joined the Parramatta Eels prior to last season before joining UK Super League team St Helens and has played a combined 36 first-grade games to date.
