They’ve pipped their major opposition the WIN network, by 0.3 points with a Network Audience Share of 29.6% between 6.00pm – Midnight, Sunday to Saturday. It brings them a long way from the 8.8 deficit to WIN back in 2006.
Big bosses are also pleased they’ve shown 12 of the Top 20 most watched ‘Regular’ programs (meaning shows with three or more episodes) of the year - the most of any network in the Wollongong Market.
“Reality television is real, it's raw, it's emotional and it can be a roller coaster for the participants and the audience. It's also unpredictable, sometimes jarring ... and that is the glue that binds viewers to it,” said Prime Media Group CEO Ian Audsely.
The top shows people watched in 2015:
My Kitchen Rules was #1 - the winning episode the biggest rating of the year (coming 9th overall for most watched single program) (Prime7)
Winter - the new crime drama starring Rebecca Gibney. Many pivotal scenes were filmed in Kiama including the jetty, fish markets, cliff tops and the Anglican (Prime7)

Overall the top three watched single programs of the year were sports and on WIN - the Rugby League Grand Final at thirds, State of Origin 1 NSW v QLD at second, and first place State of Origin 2 QLD v NSW with 134,027 average viewers in the Wollongong Region.
