A STRONG effort with the bat put North Nowra Cambewarra Maroons in control of its modified under 11s match against Bay and Basin on Saturday at Bernie Regan Oval.

Norths’ net score was 113 runs and the Basin’s net score was 50 runs.
Hayden Batson was in fine form and made 11 runs while Riley O’Carroll produced a handy 10 runs.
Ruby Davidson (eight runs), Caleb Portors (eight runs) and Lucas Zerafa (eight runs) all helped increase Norths’ total.
Kinglsey Smith took two wickets for the Basin, while Kyle Morse and Henry Mackay took one each.
The Basin batsmen played many great shots and kept the Norths’ attack honest.
Noah Skewes six runs, Lachlan Heywood five runs and Mitchell Ward five runs all played many great shots.
Max Beck with three wickets led the way with the ball for Norths.
Riley O’Carroll and Lucas Zerafa took one wicket each.
Rain marred the Ex-Servicemen’s and Berry Black match at Lyrebird Sport Park.
Berry only got 20 overs to bat before the rain fell and calculations were made to work out the winner.
Ex-Servos’ modified score was 56 and Berry’s was 57 runs.
Jack Hopkins top scored for Ex-Servos with six, while Jambel Chandler and Matthew Higham each made five runs.
Will Webster led the way with the ball for Berry and took two wickets, while Cohen Beisler, Tyson Walker and Harry McAlister got one victim each.
Tyson Walker featured in the batting list for Berry and top scored with seven runs and Harry McAlister capped off a strong match with five runs.
Matthew Higham looks to be an all rounder and he got two wickets, while Tom Richards, Kizak Malone, Kambel Chandler, Nash Connell and Bailey Thomas all got a wicket.
In other modified results North Nowra Cambewarra Blues 68 lost to Berry Shoalhaven Heads Whites 103 and Batemans Bay 126 defeated Nowra 40.
