Organised by South Coast company, Swell Events, the markets are the first of several that will be held at the centre.
Organised by Sharon Ursell and Fiona Westall, the event will be held Friday, November 27.
Sharon encouraged everyone to come along and enjoy the evening.
“There’ll be plenty of seating area so you can roll out a picnic rug and enjoy live entertainment.”
Around 50 stalls selling food, wine and artisan products will be at the markets.
“Everything comes under the idea of ‘make it, bake it, sew it, grow it’ so it’s all hand-made and not mass produced,” Sharon said.
There’ll be no shortage of food, with some of the stalls to feature including Nowra’s Wandering Woodfire Oven, Mediterranean street food from Dapto and greek cuisine from Wollongong.
Megan Steve from the ever-popular Local Grub from Berry will also make sure no-one goes home hungry.
“We’ll have a range of pies from beef rendang to to honey roast, pumpkin and goat’s cheese and butter chicken,” she said.
And as for the winning pie?
“Definitely the steak and stout pie with mushy peas and mash,” Megan said.
“That one is always very popular.”
Entertainment will include an acoustic performance by local artist Jayden Spence.
Sharon said the twilight markets will also be a haven for the little ones with plenty of entertainment set to keep everyone amused.
“We’ll have plenty of kids activities including kid’s craft, face painting and henna tattoos,” she said.
The Shoalhaven Snake Man will also be releasing the reptiles in an educational setting, particularly important in the lead-up to the hot summer months.
The relaxed setting will see trees adorned with fairy lights and plenty of areas to catch-up and enjoy time with friends.
“We have 15 years experience putting on food and wine events across the country and we’re very much looking forward to hosting our first event in Nowra,” Sharon said.
The evening will run from 4pm to 8pm. Entry to the twilight markets is free and organisers are encouraging all ages to come along and enjoy the evening. The Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre is located at 42 Bridge Road.
