The visit is part of a nationwide initiative bringing local Telstra staff into the community so customers can have a chat, ask questions, find out more about technology and have a cuppa on Telstra.
The ‘Check-In’ bus will be set-up at the Shoalhaven Arts Centre on Berry Street from 9am-3pm, complete with local Telstra technicians and customer service representatives.
The NBN Experience Vehicle will also be open to the public, giving locals the chance to trial NBN ready products like Smart TVs and gaming consoles, preview the in-home NBN installation equipment, check whether their home or business is eligible to connect and review Telstra’s broadband, voice and bundled plans.
“This check-in day is another way we are seeking to help local customers with any questions about their services,” said Telstra Country Wide area general manager for the Illawarra, Tricia Wilson.
“It is a great opportunity for customers to speak face to face with local tech and customer service staff and find out the ways to get the most from their Telstra products and services.
“We know many of our Shoalhaven customers are keen to understand more about how to make the transition to a high-speed broadband service so we are boosting customer service through the experience van so locals can have the technology demystified and their questions answered.”
Telstra will also donate $1000 to the Nowra Community Food Store and present a Telstra Kids Fund grant to Noah’s Shoalhaven.
