Personal trainer Stacey Clark and former Batemans Bay residents Tammy Baines and Eva Urbanik-Lowe each collected first place medals in their respective bikini classes at the national championships.
It was Clark’s first entry into the Australian titles and she impressed the judges, collecting first place in bikini mumma and third place in the bikini novice class one.
“It was all pretty surreal and a bit daunting,” Clark said.
“I didn’t know what to expect.”
Baines won gold in the bikini open class two and Urbanik-Lowe won gold in the bikini novice class two.
The trio went to Batemans Bay High School but were unable to train together since Baines and Lowe moved away.
Clark said the group was ecstatic with their achievements.
“We did awesome to all get first places,” Clark said.
“It wasn’t the first time we had competed in a bikini competition, but we have progressed and have had better results and places each time.”
Clark first competed last year and was crowned Miss Fitness at the inaugural Fitness on the Coast grand amateur titles in Batemans Bay.
In April, the Batemans Bay mother of two backed-up her performance and was judged first in the bikini novice and open divisions at the Clash at the Coast event at the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club.
The group started preparing 20 weeks before the nationals and stuck to a dedicated regime.
The trio mixed weight and cardio training and a stuck to a strict diet to get the best out of their bodies.
“We train four to five times a week for at least an hour each time,” she said.
“It is a strict diet that includes a lot of fresh fruit and vegetables; it is a low fat and low carb diet.”
She said consistency and a focused mind was the key for her.

- Stacey Clark.
“It’s just the dedication you need that motivates you,” Clark said.
“You get up and go to the gym and prepare meals each morning.
“You know what you have to do to achieve it (your goals).”
Clark’s daughter Elise was lucky enough to go to one of her mother’s past shows and was “mesmerised”.
“She loves it; she loves the sparkling jewelry and the bikinis,” Clark said.
