A SECOND youth, charged with throwing objects at cars on the Shoalhaven River bridge on August 15, has pleaded guilty in Nowra Children’s Court.

The 14-year-old from West Nowra, did not enter any pleas when he appear in court on September 24 facing three charges of intentionally throw object at vehicle/vessel risk safety, three counts of maliciously destroy/damage property and having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
Appearing in Nowra Children’s Court on Thursday before Magistrate Graham Blewitt, the youth pleaded guilty to one count of intentionally throw object at vehicle/vessel risk safety, maliciously destroy/damage property and having goods in custody suspected of being stolen.
He pleaded not guilty to the other charges.
He had his bail continued and will appear in Nowra Children’s Court on November 19.
The court heard the youth was part of a group of three who allegedly threw a number of items which struck three vehicles, a Honda, Holden Commodore and a Toyota Prado, crossing the southbound bridge between 9.30am and 9.45am on Saturday, August 15.
A 15-year-old Nowra youth has already pleaded guilty to three charges of intentionally throw object at vehicle/vessel risk safety, three counts of maliciously destroy/damage property, having goods in custody suspected of being stolen and with aggravated depositing litter.
He will be sentenced in Nowra Children’s Court on November 5.

Under the NSW Crimes Act, a person found guilty of throwing rocks or other objects at vehicles and vessels can face a maximum penalty of five year jail.
