Ayden Haffner, 24, of Avro Avenue, appeared in Nowra Local Court before Magistrate Dr Gabriel Fleming.
He faces two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, custody of a knife in a public place, possessing a loaded firearm in a public place, possessing a shortened firearm (not pistol) without authority, possessing firearm or barrel altered or defaced, possessing ammunition without a licence, not keeping a firearm safely, possessing an unregistered firearm and with possessing an unauthorised firearm.
The court heard Haffner was stopped on the Princes Highway on October 3 between 12.34am and 12.40am.
Police searched the man’s vehicle and allegedly found a shortened .22 calibre rifle and a knife as well as a quantity of cannabis leaf and two bags containing 0.6 gram and 0.10 gram of methamphetamines.
Haffner did not enter any pleas and did not apply for bail which was formally refused by Magistrate Fleming with the matters to be back in Nowra Local Court on October 19.
