Mark Joseph Richards, 47, of Auster Crescent pleaded guilty in Nowra Local Court before Magistrate Dr Gabriel Fleming on Wednesday with being armed with intent to commit an indictable offence.
Magistrate Fleming sentenced him to nine-months jail, starting October 7.
Richards appealed the severity of the sentence and was granted bail, with the matter to be heard in Nowra District Court on December 7.
A charge of stalk intimidate intend for physical harm were withdrawn and dismissed.
