The Roxy Cinema will screen Adam’s Woman, also known as Return of the Boomerang, on Sunday and Tuesday.
A $2 million production, it starred Hollywood’s Beau Bridges and Britain’s John Mills and Jane Morrow.
Set during the early 1800s, the movie tells the story of a young American sailor Adam (Bridges), who was wrongly accused of a crime and transported to Australia.
Eventually he is offered freedom in exchange for marrying a female convict, Bess (Morrow) and building a new town.
However, his dreams of freedom are threatened when a gang of bushrangers led by an escaped convict (Booth) try to destroy the new town.
