Ostara Australia launched the new mobile phone app, Ostara Assist, and the mental health Ostara Forums.
“Technology is so much a part of our lives, and we’re all used to being able to go online anywhere, anytime with a swipe of a screen or a tap of a button,” Ostara Australia chief executive officer Tom Baxter said.
“We’re taking that instant accessibility and using it to give our clients and others facing barriers to employment the most comprehensive support possible.”
The Ostara Assist mobile phone app allows clients a faster and easier way to connect, share information, review resources and discover new job opportunities when on the go.
Ostara Australia job seekers can contact their consultant, review appointments and search for new job vacancies.
Recently employed clients can use Ostara Assist to request immediate workplace support from their consultant and to send through images/documents using the document capture feature.
Ostara Australia’s online mental health forums provide support for people living with a mental illness or related mental health issue, and for families, friends and carers.
Welcoming, safe and anonymous, the forums offer a space for people to share stories and knowledge and receive peer-to-peer support.
“Sometimes people living with a mental illness and their carers can feel extremely isolated and alone,” Mr Baxter said.
“This new online forum, which we’re extremely pleased to be involved with in partnership with SANE Australia, will give anyone living with a mental illness, or anyone caring for a person with a mental illness, the opportunity to share their experiences and hear how others are managing their illness to achieve success in their lives.”
