I WAS shocked to read that the $6000 wasted by Bronwyn Bishop on a chartered flight to Nowra is regarded as petty by Ann Sudmalis.

That amount makes up a large chunk of the annual income of pensioners and retirees. For people who have to think twice before they have a hot meal each day, there’s nothing petty at all about $6000!
I’m truly appalled at her “Let them eat cake” comment, to say nothing of her profligate attitude towards taxpayers’ money. While in opposition, the Liberals constantly cried “Stop the waste” (one of their many slogans for bogans) but now they’re in power their snouts are deep in the trough and woe betide anyone who dares to ask any questions.
But Ms Sudmalis is right about one thing: there are more important things to worry about than Bronny’s grandiosity and Ms Sudmalis’ angry defence of it, and that’s how long we have to wait until the next election so we can throw this greedy bunch out and, locally, choose someone with some empathy, compassion and integrity.
