The Tigers went up against Moss Vale with a close start to the game, with Moss Vale taking a small lead into the second quarter 10-8.
The major break had Moss Vale just ahead 17-14.
The Tiger boys allowed Moss Vale to outscore them in the third eight points to four.
Moss Vale took charge in the fourth to put 18 point on the board, to the Tigers two, taking the game 43 points to 20.
Connor Jones worked hard in defence and top scored for the Tigers on six points.
Game two Tigers were up against Illawarra.
The Tigers went to the first break in the lead, seven points to four, with Michael Manby scoring four of the seven points.
Tigers led into the major break 11 points to six, with Jeremy Ganatra proving handy on the boards.
Tigers allowed Illawarra to outscore them in the third, winning that quarter 12 points to six, this was enough to rattle the Tigers and only managed to score two points in the final quarter, with the final score being 27-19 to Illawarra. Top point scorer for the Tigers was Michael Manby on eight.
Final game of the day was against Milton and Milton took an early lead going to the first break 18-11. ‘
Half-time saw Milton extend the lead to 34-21.
Milton still managed to keep the Tigers at bay in the third, outscoring the Tigers 15 points to 12.
With the Tigers never say die attitude, they had a good fourth quarter but this was not enough, with Milton running out winners 63-39.
Connor Jones was top scorer with nine points. With a little more experience under their belt this team will continue to improve under the guidance of coach Ian Sampson.
The boys need to put into practice at a domestic level the skills that they continue to learn through representative basketball the saying ‘practice makes perfect is’ the key to this team.
