Last week members of Nowra City Church turned up to find their minibus up on bricks with all of its wheels missing.

The church used the bus to take donated food to The Bounty Motel in Bomaderry and The Gateway Caravan Park in Nowra on Thursday nights.

Pastor Jason Smith said he thought it was a bold theft with the amount of people coming and going from the church.

“We use the bus to fulfil our passion for social justice. It’s part of our Global Care program where we help the poor,” Mr Smith said.

“Ross James from the Optus Store has donated four wheels for us so we should be back delivering food on Thursday.

“We can’t thank him enough.”

Mr James has only lived in the Shoalhaven for four months and despite the theft said he had a good feeling about the people of the Shoalhaven.

“I can tell this is a very giving community. As soon as word got out our wheels had been stolen, someone offered us a security camera,” he said.
