The championships are one of FRNSW’s longest traditions, running for more than 100 years.
The championships at the Berry Showground will showcase the skills and expertise a modern firefighter uses every day.
Teams from around the state will compete.
On Thursday, Berry firefighters, as event hosts, held a school’s information day for around 400 local students on fire safety.
Children from Berry Public, two pre-schools and Havenlee School attended.
The emergency services display included police, ambulance, SES, Rural Fire Service, the detection dog from Fire and Rescue and the ladder platform from Wollongong.
Local residents are invited to watch the action on Saturday and Sunday.
