Ms Lewington involved Good Price Pharmacy Warehouse and held a 1980s dress-up fundraiser.
More than $600 was made from donations by staff members and customers.
Ms Lewington said the money bought 25 care packs for mums and 50 care packs for dads as well as a coffee machine and coffee pods for the hospital’s parent room.
“They’re travel packs with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soaps for parents to freshen up while they stay,” she said.
“There are also some hand creams.
“A nurse from the hospital suggested parents, often from the far South Coast, travel to Shoalhaven Hospital in a rush to get here and come with nothing.”
The packs are free to parents with children who have been admitted to Shoalhaven Hospital.
“We will do this again,” Ms Lewington said.
“It’s morale boosting for our staff as we are giving back to the community.
“Dressing up was also a lot of fun. It will be one of many.”
