A celebration of around 350 workers, their families and friends involved with Australian Paper’s Shoalhaven Mill united to remember its extensive working history and enjoy some laughs and stories of a happier time.
After 56 years of paper production, the mill closed with its last run on Monday, July 20, putting 75 workers out of a job.
Those present as the machine shut down were sad as the historic moment signalled the end of an era.
