She said the roadway along Beinda Street on the side of the TAFE Illawarra Nowra Campus was completely resurfaced about five weeks ago but the opposite side of the roadway was left untouched.
“I just can’t understand why they keep patching that side of the road up when they completely resurfaced the other side,” she said.
“There are so many potholes along the road and they patch them up with asphalt.
“Every time we have a bit of rain, the asphalt comes straight back out and we’re left driving along a dreadful road.”
Ms O’Driscoll said the road’s state of disrepair had her worried for her car and the road only seemed worse on the corner of Brinawarr Street.
“I mustn’t be the only one who is fed up with this. I’ve paid good money for my car and now I have to put up with that every day,” she said.
“It all just seems very strange to me and it’s not just Bomaderry, I see this sort of thing on a lot of roads.
“It makes no sense, so I thought if I talked about it something might happen.”
Ms O’Driscoll said the potholes were topped up with asphalt again last Tuesday.
Shoalhaven City Council district engineers and asset construction and maintenance manager David Paisley said filling potholes was a mandatory road maintenance requirement, but he would look into the state of the roads in question.
