Each year, the dance troupe makes a donation towards the local hospital. This year it raised $500 for the Rehabilitation Unit.
President Carole Locke said the group sold raffle tickets and raised money at its annual fundraiser each year in September.
“Every year we donate to local charities and we’ve always donated to the hospital,” Mrs Locke said.
“We have chosen this ward because I have been here and seen the work they do.”
Rehabilitation clinical nurse consultant Jacqui Cornell said the money would go towards revitalising a much used common area within the unit.
“We are going to use the money to revamp our therapy patient dining room,” Mrs Cornell said.
“Because they have a very long length of stay in rehab, we are trying to make their journey through rehab a little bit more exciting.”
