Four speakers and an interlocutor reflected on the concept.
The event was a fundraiser for the Homeless Women and Children Lunch Fund and the Berry Men’s Shed scholarship fund.
Presented by Global Contact, the forum was held at Berry Uniting Church hall.
Speakers included former schools inspector, principal and industrial arts teacher, and initiator of the men’s shed movement, Tom Darby; writer, clergyman, former head of religious programs ABC and TV documentary maker, Reverend Dr David Millikan; a psychiatrist who works with prisoners and victims and member of the Mental Health Tribunal, Dr Rob McMurdo and spiritual and wellbeing coach and counsellor, marketing consultant, advocate and city-life escapee, Jane Ewins.
The interlocutor was Roshi Susan Murphy who is a Zen master, author, filmmaker, radio producer, feminist, deep ecologist, mother and grandmother.
