Grand Pacific Health board chairman David Fuller said Mr de Jongh would take over from Dianne Kitcher who has been appointed CEO of Coordinare, the South Eastern NSW Primary Health Network.
“Mr de Jongh’s appointment reflects the board’s confidence in his ability to lead Grand Pacific Health into an exciting new era. He has been an integral member of the executive at Grand Pacific Health during a period of rapid growth and change,” Mr Fuller said.
Mr de Jongh has held executive management roles in health organisations including Green-acres Disability Services and Australian Health Management Group.
Mr de Jongh said he was delighted by his appointment as CEO of Grand Pacific Health.
“I believe Grand Pacific Health’s future is bright. I feel privileged to work with the many fantastic health professionals across our region and look forward to building on the positive impact they have made in the local communities,” he said.
“I am delighted that we will be expanding our operations across a much larger geographical footprint from Helensburgh in the north to the Victorian border, and offering employment to 180 staff.”
Grand Pacific Health will incorporate the southern clinical services unit into its structure from July 1 following the closure of Southern NSW Medicare Local on June 30.
Grand Pacific Health will continue to accept referrals for new and existing patients and will continue to provide frontline services aimed at addressing unmet local needs including headspace Wollongong and Nowra, Shell Cove Family Health, Grand Pacific Health Centre – Nowra, Shoalhaven Wellness Centre, Connecting Care, Aboriginal health and mental health programs.
