The highlight in this year’s budget for the local area is a $140 million investment to continue construction of the Princes Highway Foxground and Berry bypass; $12 million to complete building the realignment of the Princes Highway at Termeil Creek and money for a new police station at the Bay and Basin.
Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian has announced the budget in Sydney on Tuesday.
The long awaited new Bay and Basin police station was allocated $1.41 million for planning works, selection of the site and community consultation.
There is also money in the budget to complete planning for additional car parking at Shoalhaven hospital.
