With a small swell showing in the morning, the event was put on hold until noon, to wait for the tide to drop and swell to increase.
Round two of the open men’s saw Wesley Braddick (Basin View, NSW) and Simon Zurich (Margaret River, WA) taking heat wins to move through to round three.
Braddick took the win over Shaun Squires (Torquay, VIC) and Cormach Evans (Torquay, VIC).
Wayne Caberry (Mogo, NSW) won the only round two heat in the masters division along with Tim Brown (Shellharbour, NSW). Both will be moving through to the master division final.
The event will finish tomorrow with an increase in swell predicted overnight.
