Gold, The Ultimate ABBA Show will be rolling into town for one performance only.
Kathleen Maloney plays Agnetha (the blonde one) in the show and is looking forward to bringing the show to Nowra.
“The show has been really well-received. One of the highlights of each performance for me is to go and meet the audience afterwards,” says Maloney.
“We meet a lot of fans and get feedback and a lot of people thank us for a great night out.
“We try and be as authentic as we can and often hear some great stories about people's experience seeing ABBA perform live in the ‘70s,” she says.
According to Kathleen, seeing the Gold show is the second best thing to seeing the real thing.
“We do have a lot of fun with the costumes and have five costume changes with this show.
“When we put the outfits on we really get into the spirit of it,” she says.
Her favourite song to perform is The Winner Takes It All.
“It’s a beautiful ballad and a good example of their serious side. Vocally it is quite challenging too so it gives me a chance to show what I can do.”
“My voice has been described as ‘musical theatre belter’ – I love to hit the big notes and sing passionately,” she says.
The show has performed to sold-out houses and played to over 10,000 people across the country. It will feature all the hits including Waterloo, Fernando, Mamma Mia, SOS, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do and many more.
